Dirty Dubsters (017) - My Thing by DirtyDubsters

This month, the underground party scene has taken a thrashing given by the Duncan RCMP. There has been two events that have been shut down early. They say "These parties are giving Canada a bad name during the olympics." When in all reality Vancouver is hours away from us, no one from another country is going to ditch the olympics to go to a bush party in Duncan. Most importantly of all though, a vibrant music scene shows a special, more home-made culture. In europe electronic music is enjoyed by young and old and an integral part of their culture.

By forcing over 200 people to leave a venue at the same time in my opinion is a horrible idea, even with our newer security crew, the police were not having it. so they forced hundreds of kids with no way off the mountain until 6 am, no rides, no compassion, no real respect for the youth of the island and the worst job of policing I have ever seen. There was no thought put forth by the RCMP, there more than likely was intoxicated people forced to drive home, forced to break the law.

Doesn't that make Canada look bad? An unorganized bunch of policemen forcing people to drive home more than likely drunk?? forcing them to hitch hike? forcing them to walk an hour back to Duncan in THE POURING RAIN????

YES it does, a group of people having a good safe time on private property does not. RCMP I am very dissapointed in your judgment, lack of care for your fellow man and FORCING kids to break laws just to get home. If there was a drinking related car accident, my blame would not have been on the driver but the people who forced this driver to leave early.

Ok, I am done ranting. You may have thought I would post some NWA in light of my rant.
No, I would prefer to post a tune by our own Charles King. It makes me happier after being mad :)
