Recently I have been sent/ have found some amazing productions that I thought I would share with the world. I have a post that spans from New Zealand to Australia and lands right back here on good ol' Vancouver Island. Since I am up so early for work everyday and doing my blog posts before work, there has been an open spot for hip hop, glitch and other super chilled beats.
Funk Ferret, from Auckland New Zealand has been producing up a storm and has a soundcloud page stocked with amazing funk/hip hop, breaks and inventive mashups that will leave you stunned and amazed.
This one is a work in progress but is so nice that it is already forthcoming on Booty Pirates volume 3(to be released later this summer)

My music senses were jumping and my inbox was overflowing. Two gems that are terrific and pure fun to listen to. There is something that sparks a certain groove in almost any soul, when they hear a walking funky, jazzy horn. Big ups to Drute Z, I love the horns in this one!

Island hopping!
Huge respect to Rythmicon for producing the original 'Where red meets blue' Its so serene and well produced and he couldn't have found better people to remix it for the EP Atma, Neon Steve and Chemikal all did amazing work. From jazzy liquid DnB, slick mid tempo glitch and the bouncing basslines of speed garage, this is all around a terrific remix EP and am proud to post it on the blog.

You mashed peanut butter in my chocolate
We are all about pushing the funky mashups. So why not bring out something funky from a few different generations of music? Tonight I am pleased to drop some downloads of some of my most favorite mashes/bootlegs in a while.
Matthew Britt is from Minneapolis, United States and is working around the clock to master his skills in production. His love for music shows in his mixes and tracks.
Here is a really fun tune for all of you digital DJs who love working with re edits and funk.
1 part Deadmau5 ft. Rob Swire - Ghosts n Stuff, 1 part The Temptations and 1 part Outkast. Mix thoroughly and enjoy.(Taken from the description, I just couldn't have put it better)

This summer is amping up to be full of events. Thanks to everyone to came out to Bubble Aid and will support our mission to create a strong love for good funky tunes and good vibes to the world.
We got some sweet tunes for this post, I hope you really enjoy some of these new bombshells.
First off a little bit of The Funk Hunters(The Outlier & Dunks) these guys are mixing up a storm over in Vancouver. I can't wait to see them again someday on the Island or The Shambhala Music Festival this year....... maybe if I could get away from my other responsibilities.
Shake The Room! - The Funk Hunters by The Funk Hunters
Bassnectar - Bass Head (THE FUNK HUNTERS Hands Up REFIX) by THE OUTLIER
Here is Phrases newest mix, this guy is 17 years old and has such a technical understanding of music. He is going places and I am happy to support him. I personally love his live mixes with his continuously growing track selection with hints of those island anthems handed down from some of his super skilled broken beats DJs/Teachers.
Phrase - Noise Complaint by FreakYIslanDStyleY
I'm out..... PEACE
